.

Please refer to the server information page for correct server names
Open Netscape Communicator and click on the Inbox icon to get into the Email portion of the program. You should get a new window open that says “Inbox-Netscape Folder” in the upper left hand corner. Click on the edit menu. Then click on the Preferences option. Your screen should look like the picture to the right.
From there you will want to click on the identity option and you will see your e-mail account information.

You will want to change the email address fields with your new Westelcom e-mail address. The reply-to field should stay blank.

*Note: The “Name” field does not necessarily need to be your name, but rather whatever name you want the receiver of your email to be presented with. (i.e. “The Smith Family” )
You will now need to click on the Mail Servers option, which will make the window change to look something like the picture on the right. You need to change the outgoing mail (SMTP) to mail.westelcom.com
From the same window you will need to select your e-mail account from the list under the Incoming Mail Servers list and then click on the Edit button.
This will open a new window, which will look something like the one to the right.
You need to change the Server Name to mail.westelcom.com. The Server Type should already be set to POP3 Server, but if it is not please change it now. Lastly you will need to set up your username to be your new Westelcom username.

*Note: If there is a security/privacy issue, you should leave the Remember Password box unchecked. It will prompt you to enter the password each time you want to check your mail; otherwise anyone who has access to your email client would have access to your mail

Then click on the “OK” button, which will return you to the Preferences window. Click OK here and you will be brought back to the main e-mail screen.

Your computer is now set up to send and receive e-mail with your new Westelcom e-mail address
