| Please refer to the server
information page for correct server names |
| Open Outlook Express, Click on the Tools menu.
Your screen should look like the picture on the right. Then
click on the Accounts...option.
|
 |
| This will pop open a new window. (See the
picture to the right) From there you will click on the Mail
tab and you will see your email accounts. Make sure your
current email account is highlighted. Then click on the
Properties button.
|
 |
| Once you have clicked on the Properties button,
you will see a window like the picture to the right. You will
want to change the E-mail address and the Reply address fields
with your new Westelcom e-mail address.
NOTE: The “Name” field does not necessarily have to be
your name, but rather whatever name you want the receiver of
your e-mails to be presented with. For example, it could be
“The Smith Family” or “John” or “Mr. Smith”. So,
feel free to change this field to whatever you would like.
|
 |
|
You will now need to click on the Servers tab, which will
make the window change to look like the picture to the right.
You need to change the Incoming mail (POP3) & Outgoing
mail (SMTP) fields to the servers that apply to your
particular e-mail address. These settings can be found on the server
information page.
Enter your username in the Account name field.
|
 |
|
Note: If there is a
security/privacy issue, you should leave the password blank…
It will prompt you to enter the
password each time you check your mail.
Otherwise, anyone who has access
to your e-mail program would have access to your personal
mail. If this is not an issue, enter your password and ensure
that the “Remember password” box is checked.
|
| If you have additional e-mail
addresses, follow the same instructions above to make the
appropriate changes. |
| If you need technical assistance
with this transition, feel free to call Westelcom’s
