This will pop open a new window (see picture to the right). From there, you will want to click on the Mail tab and you will see your e-mail accounts.   Make sure your current e-mail account is highlighted in blue, then click on the Properties button.

Once you have clicked on the Properties button, you will see a window like the picture to the right.  You will want to change the E-mail address and the Reply address fields with your new Westelcom e-mail address.

NOTE: The “Name” field does not necessarily need to be your name, but rather whatever name you want the receiver or your e-mails to be presented with.  For example, it could be “The Smith Family” or “John” or “Mr. Smith”.  So feel free to change this field to whatever you would like.

You will now need to click on the Servers tab, which will make the window change to look something like the picture to the right.  You need to change the Incoming mail (POP3) & Outgoing mail (SMTP) fields both to mail.westelcom.com.

Now if your new Westelcom username is different from your Slic.com username, you will have to change the Account name field to be your new Westelcom username, which is indicated in the letter received with this package.

NOTE: If there is a security/privacy issue, you should leave the password blank … it will prompt you to enter the password each time that you want to check the mail, otherwise anybody who has access to the e-mail client would have access to your mail.

Click on the Apply button, and then the OK button and your computer is now ready to send/receive e-mail with your new Westelcom e-mail address.

People will still be able to send e-mail messages to your Slic.com e-mail address, which we will automatically forward to your new Westelcom address.  You should begin to inform all of your friends, family, and business contacts of your new e-mail address so they can get used to sending messages directly to your new Westelcom address.  Slic.com and Westelcom want to make this transition go as smoothly as possible.  If you need technical assistance with this transition, feel free to call Westelcom’s 24x7 Technical Support Service by dialing 1-866-FASTTEC (327-8832)
